This workshop meets Saturday, August 29, 2020, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm each day
(lunch break suggested 12noon-2pm each day)
This hollow, shadowbox leaf design is split down the middle to reveal a shiny ball of silver, a pretty pearl, or a colorful cubic zirconia gem. Learn best practices for setting a kiln-safe, faceted gem so that it stays secure during firing/after shrinkage. This beautiful project teaches excellent construction techniques from dry components. There will be enough time for at least a pendant, while fast workers may be able to complete a pair of earrings. This is an intermediate-level one-day workshop.
A kit fee of $50 will be collected by the instructor during the workshop.
This workshop is part of the Metal Clay Artists Symposium and requires purchase of the General Registration.
