Sunday, August 29, 2021, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon (Please choose just one Sunday workshop. They're held simultaneously!)

Using bisqueware as the base of silver metal clay projects allows you to create a substantial project without the cost and weight associated with solid silver. Bisque beads are available in a  variety of sizes and shapes, but if you own a kiln, you already have the equipment necessary to create your own bisqueware! Learn which types of clay are fire-able in a metalclayer’s kiln, techniques used by a clay artist to create hollow or solid forms, and how to fire the clay forms so they become bisqueware bases for silver metal clay pendants, beads and more. Seth Charles is the Director of Ceramics at Sawtooth School and will share his extensive knowledge of working with the “other” clay at this unique Technique Discovery Workshop!

This workshop is part of the Metal Clay Artists Symposium and requires purchase of the General Registration.
